The final conference on the planning of the Ukrainian-Romanian study ‘Riverin -2018’ completed in Odessa

Today, on August 21, the final conference on planning the Ukrainian-Romanian study ‘Riverin-2018’ was completed in Odessa.
The event was attended by officers of the Command and Marine Command of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Odessa detachment of Marine Protection of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Naval Forces and Coast Guard of Romania.

The main purpose of the conference was to complete the development and agreement of the training plan. According to the managers of the maneuvers – Captain 1 rank Dmitry Kovalenko from Ukraine and Captain 1 rank Marcel Neukuli from Romania, this two-way training will be held for the first time and aimed at strengthening regional security and improving the interaction between the two countries’ fleets.
During the day the participants finally worked out the planned events and detailed the episodes.

Importantly, all elements of the training will be worked out according to NATO standards.
The conduction of the Ukrainian-Romanian study ‘Riverin-2018’ is scheduled to take place from 4 to 6 September in the Danube River from Izmail (Ukraine) to the city of Breila (Romania).
