Today, September 3, during the visit to Ukraine, the Naval Forces of Ukraine visited the delegation of the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Republic of Turkey. The purpose of the event is to support the military dialogue and discuss the urgent issues of regional security, develop cooperation in the Black Sea region, and identify the priority areas of bilateral military cooperation.

During the visit, a protocol meeting between the Navy Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Admiral Igor Voronchenko and the commander of the Navy of the Turkish Republic Admiral Adnan Ozbal was held. Fleet managers have discussed security issues in the Black Sea region, identified priority areas for military cooperation in the naval field. The Head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine thanked the Turkish colleague for his support and informed the delegation about the prospects for the development of the Ukrainian Navy. At the end of the event there was an exchange of souvenirs.

Also, the delegation of the Turkish Navy commander plans to visit the Hetman Sagaidachny frigate, the small armored artillery boat and the Naval Institute of the National University ‘Odessa Maritime Academy’.
