Ukrainian Navy visited the delegation of the Commander of the Naval Forces Republic of Lithuania

In the period from November 13 to November 15, the Army Commandant of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Lithuania, Captain 1 rank Arunas Mokas, has been working in the Navy. The purpose of the event is to discuss topical issues of regional security and determine the priority directions of bilateral military cooperation.
Within the framework of the visit, Captain 1 rank Arunas Mokas met with the Commander of the Naval Armed Forces of Ukraine Admiral Igor Voronchenko. The representatives of the two countries discussed the common goals, tasks, strategy of development of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the main ways of further cooperation.
‘Our fleets are linked by long-standing relations,’ said the Lithuanian Navy’s commander, ‘we are confident that friends should always be in a good time to help,’ he added.
‘The Republic of Lithuania has been a member of the North Atlantic Alliance since 2004, and the exchange of experience is important for the national fleet in the course of further transition to NATO standards,’ said Ihor Voronchenko, Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The foreign delegation inspected the Hetman Sagaidachny frigate and small armored artillery boats and visited the Naval Institute of the National University ‘Odessa Maritime Academy’.
