A two-day briefing by representatives of the Navy and the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the British Armed Forces on the holding of large-scale exercises in Ukraine this year, ‘Warrior Watcher-2019’, continues in the Nikolayevsky garrison.
During the briefing, issues are discussed on determining the composition of forces and facilities, clarifying the training issues that will be worked out during exercises, the beginning of the development of a training plan, as well as conducting reconnaissance of training venues and defining logistical needs.
According to Defense Attache on the defense of the British Embassy in Ukraine, Colonel David Horner, these studies will significantly enhance cooperation between the Armed Forces of both countries.
It will be recalled that this type of training with participation of the Naval Forces of Ukraine and the Air Forces of the Kingdom of Great Britain will take place for the first time, and the main role in future exercises will be devoted to a separate battalion of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the command of Major Vadim Sukharevsky.
