On October 18, 2018, two patrol boats of the ‘Island’, which in the past were part of the US Coast Guard: WPB 1340 Jefferson Island and WPB 1345 Staten Island, took place in the Poti city in the framework of the coast guard of Georgia. The boats were given the names of the P-23 Ochamchir (Ochamchira) and the R-25 Dioskuria (‘Dioscuria’) in honor of the boats of the Georgian Navy, which were destroyed by Russian invaders in August 2008 during the Georgian-Russian war.
