On July 5, 2018, the Turkish national defense minister announced that Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret, a Turkish state-owned design company, won a Pakistan Navy bid and, according to the contract received, will have to supply the Pakistani Navy with four MILGEM (Ada) Turkish turboprops.
