Marines went to multinational training in Romania

The squadron of Marines from the Navy flew from Odessa Airport to Romania to the multinational international training ‘Platinum Eagle – 2019’.

The commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Admiral Ihor Voronchenko came to personally conduct sea lions.

‘Today you are the face of Ukraine and you will be watching the whole world,’ the commander emphasized. – I wish your team the best to show your professional skills and abilities. I am sure you will represent our country worthily, because it is a very important step for joining NATO.

Recall that Platinum Eagle’s multinational training since 2017 is an updated format for international maneuvers ‘Platinum Linkx’, in which representatives of the Ukrainian Navy participate on an ongoing basis. Participants in the maneuvers have traditionally been representatives from the United States, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania and Ukraine. The main objective of the event is to acquire skills of joint actions of troop-contributing countries of the North Atlantic Alliance and to work out joint actions to repel a land and sea enemy within the multinational unit in accordance with NATO standards.
