On August 20, representatives of a separate infantry brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynsky of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with the Berdyansk Civil-Military Cooperation Group conducted preparatory work for the installation of a filter station. The main purpose was to provide the residents of Berdyansk with drinking water. Within this project, the funding was provided by the ADRA Ukraine Charitable Foundation with the support of Germany.
– To do good is easy. You do not need to have any special abilities or skills. The key to this is desire. The desire to give people who live in the area of the United Nations operation the opportunity to feel that they have not been left alone with their problems, – said the head of the military-civilian administration of the settlements of Shirokine and Berdyanske, Oleg Prylyko.
A local resident of Berdyansk village, Mr Valery, thanked the Marines and the charity for their continued support of the population affected by the shelling of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and their mercenaries and the work on restoration of water supply.
