Ukrainian-American studies of the ‘Ci-Breeze’ series have been conducted since 1997 in accordance with the ‘Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on Defense and Military Relations between the United States Department of Defense and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine’ since 1993. They have been initiated in order to prepare and increase the combat readiness of the Military- The Naval Forces of Ukraine is bilaterally, but open to other countries that are members of NATO and have joined the Partnership for Peace program. During this time 12 exercises of this series (1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014) have been conducted.
During the exercises they took part: 25-31 August 1997 – 6 states (NATO-4), 10 ships, personnel of up to 1.5 thousand servicemen participated. (Novo-ozerne pb, ‘Shiroky lan’ polygon); 25.10-4.11.1998 – 11 states (NATO-4 countries), 9 ships, personnel to 1.7 thousand servicemen (Odessa Odesa) participated, including two ships from the Black Sea Fleet ‘Ladnii’, BCC, Company Marine Corps; 21- 24.07.1999 – 9 states (NATO-5 countries), personnel of up to 80 people (command-staff training, Odessa Odesa) participated; 05 – 16.07.2001 – 13 states (NATO-8 countries), 8 ships, personnel to 1,150 military personnel participated (Odessa Odesa). 03 – July 18, 2002 – 3 states (NATO-2 countries), 7 ships, personnel of up to 800 servicemen (Mediterranean Sea) took part. 07-22.07.2007 – 13 countries (NATO-7 countries), 21 ships, boats and boats, 6 planes and helicopters (Odessa Odesa, Shirokii lan ground) took part. 09-28.07.2010 – 10 states (NATO-9 countries), 25 ships, boats and ships, 10 planes and helicopters, and 600 troops (Odessa Odesa, ‘Shiroky lan’) took part. 03-21.06.2011 – 15 states (NATO-9 countries), 28 ships, boats and boats, 13 planes and helicopters, 90 units of armored personnel carriers, and 1200 troops (Odessa Odometer, Shirokii Lan range) participated. 09-21.07.2012 – 10 states (NATO-9 countries), 25 ships, boats and ships, 10 planes and helicopters, and 600 troops (Odessa Odesa, Shirokii Lan polygon) participated. 08.08.2013 – 11 states (NATO-6 countries), 15 ships, boats and boats, 09 planes and helicopters, 33 units of armored personnel carriers, and 1,300 troops (Odessa Odesa, Sebastopol, ‘Wide Range’ ‘) 05-10.09.2014 – participated 10 states (NATO-7 countries), 13 ships, 5 planes and helicopters (Odessa Odesa, sea polygons). 31.08 – 09.12.2015 – 13 states (NATO-6 countries), 18 warships and ships, 14 planes and helicopters, up to 500 troops of the Marine Corps and ground units, 25 units of armored vehicles (UMB Odessa, sea polygons, ‘Shiroky lan’ ground). 16 – 31.07.2016 – participated 16 states (NATO-11 countries), 26 warships and ships, 21 aircraft and helicopters, up to 142 armored vehicles (Odesa Odesa, sea polygons, Shiroky lane ‘)
Learning Objectives: – Examine the actions of the headquarters of the peacekeeping force in the planning of a peacekeeping operation and the management of forces during its conduct in accordance with NATO standards; – working out joint operations of the divisions of the Marine Corps during the provision of humanitarian operations and peacekeeping operations; – Preparation of the operations of the crews of ships in the base and working out at sea on all types of defense; – Achievement of interconnectivity in matters of logistics; – working out of interaction with units of other armed formations of the state and non-governmental organizations in ensuring safe conditions for the actions of forces (troops). All training was conducted on peacekeeping topics.
